Position Specific Description

We are hiring six (6) Mechanic Electricians for Point Beach Nuclear Site and this is dual unit nuclear facility located in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Job Overview

Performs installation, inspection, repair, surveillance and preventative and corrective maintenance on all mechanical and electrical equipment associated with Point Beach Nuclear Plant. Develops a working knowledge of, and performs work activities according to standard practices, procedures, and codes. This employee must practice and apply industrial safety and radiation protection in strict compliance with applicable plant procedures and Federal and State regulations. Assists in implementing those aspects of the Quality Assurance Program which relate to activities of the Maintenance Department; prepares associated reports, logs, records and historical data, as assigned. The Mechanic-Electrician may work along on tasks for which he/she is qualified to perform. This employee will perform cleanup and other miscellaneous duties as required or assigned. Candidates must be prepared to work shift work, on a rotating or permanent basis if necessary.

Requirements

Qualification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.  
  • Must meet Site Specific ANSI Qualification: Shall have a minimum of three years in one or more crafts. Should possess a high degree of manual dexterity and ability and should be capable of learning and applying basic skills in maintenance operations or
  • Associate degree technical program (machinist, machinery repair, industrial electrician, welding) from an accredited Technical College.
  • Pass Maintenance Position Selection System (MASS) Aptitude Test. 
  • Ability to satisfy all Company and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) security requirements.                                                    

Preferred Qualification

  • Experienced Nuclear Personnel possessing ANSI 18.1-1971 Maintenance Qualifications from another commercial nuclear facility or former Navy Nuclear trained personnel with Electrician's Mate or Machinist Mate NEC's.
  • Those possessing additional qualifications as welders, machinists, or nuclear repair specialist.
