We are seeking a goal-oriented, high-energy, and hardworking individual to fill our full-time Corporate Payroll Administrator position. The selected candidate will be responsible for processing all aspects of multi-frequency payrolls. This position will require coordination with all locations, and providing the highest customer service to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees.
Responsibilities:- Process and reconcile time cards to ensure accurate and timely running of payroll
- Gross to net calculation, audit and balancing
- Ensure accuracy of payroll records by reviewing updates in status changes, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, time off accruals, retro payments
- Initialize journal entries and balance, reconciles prior to posting, including project code analysis entries
- Investigates and resolves payroll discrepancies including preparation of manual check calculations
- Process Bonus, Severance, Retirement, Terminations/Layoffs, LOA's, Disability payments
- Preparation and processing payrolls to "update" employee history for W2 purposes; knowledge of tax implications based off type of earnings
- Review and submit child support orders, garnishments and levies; respond to notices and communication to the employee as required
- Prepare reports and reconciliations
- Coordinates with HR, Benefits, Treasury and Accounting Departments

- Performs complex tax calculations and gross-up calculations
- Responds to phone and email inquiries timely from employees and outside agencies
- Assists in cross-training; Exhibits team spirit in working with other staff, communicating openly and in a helpful manner to ensure coordination and cooperation
- Demonstrates initiative through early identification and timely resolution of problems
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years of payroll processing experience for a multi-state employer with multiple locations
- Knowledge of state and federal wage and tax laws and overtime requirements
- Basic accounting skills
- Proven customer service skills while maintaining a confidential work environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- A committed team player, detail oriented and an effective communicator
- Experience with in-house payroll processing
- JDEdwards software experience preferred, not required.
