Description

Our Sudbury office is looking for a Senior Site Planner/Scheduler to join our construction team.

To perform this role successfully, the successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Developing construction field installation work packages (FIWPs) schedule based on level 4 and integration with Engineering / Procurement work packages.
  • Preparing the weekly / monthly schedule reports and progress curves for management.
  • Ensuring the detailed schedules developed by subcontractors, as per their scope of work, are consistent with the project master schedule.
  • Maintaining liaison with project team regarding scheduling activities and assisting them in determining schedule priorities.
  • Attending project team and subcontractors meetings.
  • Developing schedule variation reports from baseline. 
  • Providing technical guidance to co-workers;
  • Supervising work within a small work unit composed of employees within own discipline or a related area of specialization;
  • Exercising independent judgment in planning, scheduling, organizing, controlling and monitoring the work team.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a Site Planner/Scheduler on mining and metallurgy projects.
  • Working experience in an engineering/construction (EPC) environment.
  • Proactive detailed oriented, and have a good knowledge of planning techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with client, subcontractors and staff at all levels.
  • Post-Secondary education in a related field.
  • Knowledge and experience with computer software, including Primavera P6 and PM+.
