Reporting to the Operations Lead, Plant Operators at this level are responsible for leading the daily operation of the Pipestone Processing Facility. You Will:

Assist in the daily operation of the Pipestone facility, working the 12-hour day/night shift schedule.

Be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

Assist in the safe and efficient operation of all scheduled and unscheduled work including operations, repairs, and maintenance.

Assist in commissioning, turnaround planning, and start-ups.

Closely adheres to all AltaGas policies, standards, procedures, and practices.

Ensure overall plant production and reliability.

Recognize and avoid inappropriate risks, consider the consequences and impact, and consult with senior personnel before taking action.

Report and investigate facilities' safety incidents.

Update and develop operating procedures.

Participate in critical job checklists, job hazard assessments, and safe work permitting.

Assist and participate in EH&S meetings & inspections.
You Have:
-
Grade 12 education or equivalent required.

Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering certificate required.
-
Minimum 2-5 years of experience working in facility/pipeline operations.
-
Gas plant and power generation experience is considered an asset.

The ability to work a 7-day on, 7-day off shift schedule.
