About The Position

The Transmission Portfolio Analyst is responsible for the analysis and support in the development of benefits cases, financial, risk, and asset models, and analyzing data results and key metrics to inform leaders about the operational and financial performance of Ameren Transmissions capital portfolio of projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide financial and risk analysis, reports, and dashboards for Transmission portfolio health both in the near term and long-term utilizing various data sources. 

  • Apply a portfolio development framework for capital project selection, budgeting, and approvals.

  • Analyze portfolio and recommend project adjustments to achieve targets, and determine sensitivities to scope, cost, and schedule changes.

  • Monitor PCRs and portfolio for variances / trends in cost, lead times, CT utilization; investigate drivers and work with team to address issues.

  • Assist in collaboration across Ameren segments and corporate finance to ensure capital investment alignment; provide data and reporting as needed to assist in capital planning and regulatory reporting.

  • Facilitate a project risk management framework and work with project teams during project planning to assess and mitigate project risks.

  • Support Work Order setup and approval as Transmission Projects are identified.

  • Act as a product/data owner of the Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management and Unifier Risk and PCR Business Processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred.  Two or more years of relevant experience in estimating, budgeting, forecasting, portfolio management, risk analysis/management or project management is required. A relevant advanced degree may be considered in lieu of up to 2 years of experience.  Six total years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree. Experience with PowerBI and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel strongly preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Effective oral and written communication skills, the ability to adapt to multiple requests, and the ability to work in a team environment are required. Experience with financial applications such as Oracle Projects, UIP, IMR, PCM, Primavera, and PowerPlan is preferred. Experience with OPPM and Unifier preferred. Knowledge of transmission system and corresponding maintenance, operations and construction practices is preferred.
