We are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer - Generation to join the team in Madison, WI.
The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical or Civil Engineer degree with project management experience and a sophisticated skill-base related to:
- Working knowledge of operation, maintenance and repair outage planning of power plant systems, emission controls, piping, pumps and solar projects.

Engineering project management, including economic evaluation, outage contracts, schedule, budget and time milestones

Industry standards for environmental regulations
Senior Engineer - Power Generation performs a variety of complex engineering work using a variety of tools and resources to apply independent judgment in sophisticated situations. This position will include one or more of the following duties; designs, plans, constructs, installs, operates, monitors, evaluates, and maintains structures, facilities, systems, equipment, machinery, and components used in generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization of energy for domestic, commercial, residential, and industrial consumption. This role proactively provides mentorship.

Explains technical problems to internal stakeholders and accurately prepares detailed documents such as technical studies and project documentation for future reference.

Manages project budgets, including processes accruals, and communicates anticipated changes in the budget. Applies FIN 102 requirements when completing requisitions, receipts, and related project tasks.

Understands various corporate financial statements and can differentiate how project implementation and property unit catalog (PUC) citations will affect the rate payer versus the shareholder, including providing feedback to PUC modifications as appropriate.

Supports Generation facility outages.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Within an engineering program that is accredited through the Engineering Accreditation Commission

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Project management leadership experience preferred, along with ability to deal with subcontractors and multi-functional teams; may have expertise in a particular area of the field.
